Scholarships
Young artists K-12 can win money for school here at the VFW Auxiliary. Students don't have to be related to a member to enter.

For Writers
Deadline for submissions is October 31, 2026
Students in grades 9 - 12 write an essay describing "What a veteran has taught me about America" and submit an audio recording of themselves reading it out loud.
Students in grades 6 - 8 submit an essay on the theme "What a veteran has taught me about America."
For Artists
Deadline for submissions in March 31, 2027.
Students in grades K-8 can submit drawings and paintings with a patriotic theme. Art is judged in 3 different age groups.
For high school aged artists who work in two dimensions.
