Nominations for officers for the 26-27 program year will take place at the March meeting. Click on an office to find out if it's right for you.
President
The President conducts monthly meetings according to the ritual and bylaws in the podium book. They submit to the Post Commander the most recent audit and membership report within 30 days of installation. They review reports, attent quarterly audits, and attend or send a delegate to District and Department functions.
Senior Vice-President
They conduct meetings and attend District and Department functions if the President cannot attend. They participate in new member installtions, oversee fundraisers, and should be prepared to take on the Special Project fundraiser for the year.
Junior Vice-President
They take over the duties of the Preisden or Senior Vice-Preisdent should they be unavailable, and they participate in new member installations. They can be a liaison with the BWI lounge at BWI airport by purchasing and delivering supplies every two months.
Secretary
They Record minutes of each meeting, type them up in the format described in the podium book. They save hard copies of theminutes, treasurer's reports, and audit results for seven years. They read official correspondances aloud at meetings and save hard copies of them for one year. They will enter into MALTA installation reports withing seven days, and they will register delegates to the National convention in MALTA.
Treasurer
They hold all funds and securities belonging to the Auxiliary in and FDIC of eqivalent banking institution in the Auxiliary's name. They attend quartely audits with the trustees. They collect and process dues in accordance with estatblished prodecures. They create monthy reports detailing all receipts and disbursements since the previous meeting. They update membership records in MALTA adding new members and removing deceased ones or those who haven't paid their membership dues.
Chaplain
They recite opening and closing prayers at the monthly meetings. They also report the names of ill or deceased members and provide emotional support to members with phone calls, visits, and cards. They send birthday cards to all current members, provide a report of their activities to the Department Chaplain. They conduct an official funeral service for departed memers if their family wishes.
Patriotic Instructor
They read a brief passage at the beginning of each meeting and lead the Auxiliary in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Conductor
They arrange the room before meetings and put it away afterward. They should know where in the Podium book to find the floor plans for different meeting types. They examine membership cards durring opening ceremonies to ensure that they are all current. They escort guests and members at the direction of the President.
Trustee
There are three trustees. A minimum of two must attend quarterly audits with the President, Treasurer, and Secretary. At meetings, they examine and sign the receipts of goods purchased by members that they will be reimbursed for. The first year trustee acts as chairperson.
Historian
They collect material pertaining to he history of the Auxiliary and carefully document the Auxiliary's activites throughout the year with a book of photographs and documents and other momentoes.
Guard
Guards wear a welcoming smile and greet with enthusiasm. They are the first member people see when entering the room. They sit by the door durring meetings and admit only those entitled to attend. They announce to the President any guests wishing to enter the room.
